Healthcare

In 2012, the 1945 "Baby Boomer" hits sixty seven years old. Approximately  5 million "Baby Boomers" will retire each year for the next two decades.  Medicare works, and must be strengthened, expanded ,and preserved.

The 2013 Federal Health and Human Services budget which includes Medicare/Medicaid is projected to be $940.9 Billion, and is forecasted  to grow at between 14% and 20% a year for the next two decades.

Here are a few suggestions on strengthening, expanding, and preserving Medicare while ensuring an economic future for our children.

1. Ability for consumers and small business to buy private health insurance across state lines.

2. State run  "Oregon Health Care Insurance Exchanges"

3. Serious dialogue on Ryan/Wyden plan
