A productive and educated Oregon workforce is the direct product of strong family values, mentoring, good teachers, and quality educational institutions that can compete in a "Globalized economy"! Federal involvemet and "Duplication of effort" must be eliminated in favor of State control of education.
1. Eliminate" Federal Department Of Education," and it's US$71 billion (est. 2011) budget
2. Federal " Education Block Grants" !
3. Greater emphasis on vocational programs that target emerging "Alternative Energy Technologies!"
4. Incorporation of "Charter school best practices" into public education system.
